The E9x models were appreciated for their sporty handling, precise steering, and balanced weight distribution. The Six-cylinder engines (e.g. the N52 or N54 Biturbo) and the BMW M3 E92 with a high-revving V8 engine (S65), which enjoys cult status among fans.
The series offered modern technology such as iDrive, xenon headlights, adaptive suspension and a wide range of engines from economical diesels to powerful gasoline engines.
