E53

The BMW E53 is the first generation of the BMW X5 , produced from 1999 to 2006 . It was BMW's debut in the SUV segment, combining off-road capability with the brand's signature sporty driving feel.

Developed with input from Land Rover (which BMW owned at the time), the E53 featured xDrive all-wheel drive , a range of inline-6, V8, and diesel engines , and a luxurious interior. It helped define the modern luxury SUV by offering both performance and comfort in a single, versatile vehicle.
