E65 / E66 / E67 / E68

The BMW E65 is the fourth generation of the 7 Series, produced from 2001 to 2008. It marked a bold shift in design and technology, introducing the controversial iDrive system, electronic gear selector, and a new design language by Chris Bangle.

The E65 featured powerful V8 and V12 engines, advanced suspension, and luxury features like adaptive headlights and soft-close doors. Though polarizing at launch, it’s now recognized for pushing BMW into the modern era of digital luxury sedans.
