CAE Ultra Shifter – Optimized for motorsport with the following features:
- Vehicle-specific kit for BMW E8/9X with manual 6-speed gearbox, standard H-pattern. Vehicle assignment see table above
Installation without drilling in the center tunnel! - Short and super precise H-pattern shifts.
- The clutch system remains original.
- Racing look.
- Optimal ergonomics with a focus on motorsport: Perfect positioning of the gear knob close to the steering wheel. The H-shift pattern is within approx. 75 x 75 mm.
- Reverse gear lockout via cable pull from the gear lever. Accidental engagement of reverse gear is impossible. Reverse gear is unlocked by pulling up the sliding sleeve on the gear lever.
- Low weight and high stability: The milled and turned parts are made of 7075 aluminum, the sub-constructions from laser-cut, 3/6 mm thick AlMg3 aluminum sheet. The parts are joined using the TIG welding process and brushed bare for an optimal finish.
- Smooth gear changes under load or when cornering.
- Integrated center spring, providing perfect feedback when changing gears during upshifts and downshifts.
- Right/left stops and reverse gear stop separately adjustable.
- Shifter is supplied as a complete kit with CAE 3XS, XXS, XS, S or L shift rod, including all small parts & mounting material
- Shifter is intended for vehicles with interior trim or center console; this must be modified for installation.
- Surface and gear knob available in various finishes; and as an accessory covered with grey Alcantara with red or blue X-stitching
