With the N55 engine, the blow-off valve is an electronic solenoid valve that is part of the turbocharger. It was specially developed for the original boost pressure.
Even ex-works, the original valves leak at higher boost pressures, which causes a loss of performance, which is even more pronounced in performance-enhanced vehicles due to the higher boost pressure.
By installing the GFB DV+, this "hole" in the charge air system is closed and the vehicle has noticeably more power and torque.
