To guide the air to the brake ventilation outlet, a suitable inlet is essential. The M2 Competition already has inlet ducts in the front bumper ex works, but these end in the middle of the wheel arch.

To prevent the air from swirling randomly in the wheel arch, we have developed an extension of the air duct, which can be installed with minimal effort and guides the air around the wheel, connecting it to the outlet via a 40 cm long hose (per side).

Backing Plates

The matching backing plates with a connection for central air inflow.

We utilize the channeling of the airflow to the center of the brake disc to exploit the turbine effect for cooling the disc from the inside. We specifically direct the air at an angle to avoid scattering losses and to use the available air volume with maximum efficiency.

Due to the lightweight construction combined with powder-coated aluminum, the component is sufficiently strong, yet light and insensitive.

 

Scope of delivery:

  • Air ducts inlet for the front axle 1x left 1x right with connection for 51 mm air hose
  • 2x mounting screws
  • Backing plates for the front axle 1x left 1x right with connection for 51 mm air hose
  • 1x air hose (1 meter)
  • 4x hose clamps
