E81 / E82 / E87 / E88

The BMW E87 is part of the first generation 1 Series , produced by 2004 to 2011 . It was introduced as a compact hatchback and offered a sporty, rear-wheel-drive layout—rare in its class.

Available with a range of petrol and diesel engines , the E87 stood out for its sharp handling , premium build quality , and BMW driving dynamics in a smaller package. It laid the foundation for the 1 Series' success and attracted drivers looking for a compact car with real performance character.
